| Mark first started playing music when he was 9 years old; but it wasn’t the drums. For almost 8 years he played the guitar through the Ontario Conservatory of Music. Throughout this time he won several awards at talent competitions around southern Ontario. After that he tried piano for a couple of years. Still not satisfied and unconcerned with the local noise by-laws, he got into drums and the rest as they say, is history; for his first couple of drum kits at least…”they didn’t stand a chance!” During the time Mark was teaching guitar in a music studio in his hometown of Fergus, Ontario he and a couple of other friends Started their first “New country” band called Backroads. Throughout the next few years Mark played with several different acts before becoming one of the founding members of Moonshine. Go see Moonshine and you will see why they say Mark is best known for his wild sense of humor, which is seldom contained, especially when on stage… |
