If ever entering a venue, and the marquee says "MOONSHINE", get ready to kick up your boots because
you're in for one energetic, entertaining, and exciting show guaranteed!!
Formed in August of 2000, these boys have been belting out top 40 hits in honky tonks all across
Ontario. Starting out as a four piece band, playing various clubs in Southwestern Ontario, Moonshine
quickly became a name on every ones lips. With a huge amount of local recognition and support, credits
on the 820 CHAM Artist Showcase, as well as the internationally known website www.thatscountry.com,
Moonshine was ready to take on something new; and in August 2003, they did just that.
The addition of the Fiddle and only female member was something that was not very common in this
country "boy band", yet was sure to leave quite an impression on fans, new and old alike.
Now, with their new member well established, Moonshine was ready to open a new chapter in
their Canadian Country Music Book. In 2004 they participated in the New Country 95.3 Rising Star
competition. With hard work, great talent and an amazing amount of support, Moonshine was
credited as being Ontario's Rising Star. This recognition was just a taste of what was yet to come and
they showed no signs of slowing down.
Moonshine was later asked to open for C.C.M.A's 2004 Group of the Year, Doc Walker and at another
venue they opened for Julian Austin.
Later that year, Moonshine was awarded the O.C.P.F.A 2004 Club Artist of the Year.
Previous to and since that time Moonshine has had the pleasure of working with Canadian artists, Gil
Grand, Jim Witter, Jason Barry - 2006 CCMA guitar player of the year, Diane Chase, The Good Brothers,
John Landry, Jamie Warren, and Trooper.
Moonshine is happy to announce the newest addition to the group...Steve Todd. Steve is a multi-talented
musician and vocalist with many years of musical experience.
If you are a Moonshine fan that has been with them for a number of years you will notice Steve leads a
strikingly close resemblance to a former lead singer of the group...hmmm... Fact is Steve used to be just
that. Cheers Steve welcome back!
Moonshine is now ready to embark on another incredible chapter of their career and are again
happy to announce another great addition with Terry Battell joining the line up.
With the unique characteristics and musicianship that each member brings, Moonshine is a high energy
band that needs to be seen to truly be appreciated. An experience that will be sure to have you...
